Prof. Dr. Hatem Rabie

Professor of Theater at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University. He is one of the most prominent academics specializing in classical studies. He has held numerous leadership positions, including former Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture, Ministry of Culture, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Graduate Studies and Research, Ain Shams University. He currently serves as the Scientific and Academic Advisor to Science and Culture City. He presented such pioneering scientific and research contributions in the field of Greek and Roman literature and theater, and has many recognized publications and translations in this specialization. He also participated in local and international scientific and cultural conferences, contributed to the development of academic regulations and programs, and helped establish new scientific departments. He received several awards and honors, including the Best Translator Award from the Egyptian Writers’ Union (2021) and the Medal of the International Federation of Arab Journalists (2017). He also held memberships in several prominent cultural councils, including the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Opera House, the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Books, the Board of Directors of the National Documents and Books House, and he is also a member of the Egyptian Writers’ Union. He is considered a model of an outstanding university professor who combined academic, administrative, and cultural work, and contributed his efforts to serving the causes of thought, culture, and education in Egypt and the Arab world.
